Sofia and Craig met in 2009 at Chicago Pizza in Jax Beach while at dinner with friends. Craig was there just in time for happy hour wearing his signature look, a white button down shirt. Sofia was running late having just finished training for her amateur fight at the MMA gym. They saw each other from opposite ends of the long table. Little did the know one day they would fall madly in love with each other. Over the next decade they would become great friends. Fast forward 10 years later. Sofia was in town getting her very reliable Audi ready for her big move to Maryland. The mechanic found a cracked rim and this delayed her leaving by over a week. Craig realized their relationship was more than a friendship. As the clock was counting down, he couldn't let Sofia make the move to Maryland without expressing his feelings. From this point their love story begins.
After a year of planning their birthday bucket list trip, Sofia and Craig boarded their flights for Greece. Everything was going smooth. They had been upgraded to the emergency row, allowing Craig to stretch out his legs. The ring was tucked away safely in Craig's back pack. Even the coffee cake served on the plane for desert was delightful. Unfortunately their jetlag caused them to miss the last flight to Santorini, putting a major kink in Craigs plan to propose. Luckily the following day they were able to catch the first flight out of Germany to Santorini and resume their vacation. With Craig's initial proposal plans being foiled he would now have to wait for the right moment. The day started off with a morning stroll to watch the sunrise...but it wasn't time. They hopped on a 4 wheeler and headed to Megalorchi for a local culinary adventure. While cooking delicious Greek food and making 12 new friends, Craig decided this was the moment. He informed Paula the owner of the class. They quickly got to planning and as fate would have it, there was a bottle of champagne in the fridge. During the dessert course Paula brought the champagne out....it was go time! Craig popped the question, Sofia ugly cried and said "absolutely!" With their bellies full of moussaka and hearts filled with love and happiness they drove back on the 4 wheeler just in time to enjoy the beautiful Grecian sunset. Definitely the perfect engagement except for the spinach in Craig's teeth and his teal shirt. We're so excited to celebrate our wedding with you.
