The Bryn Mawr Hotel
1871
The Bryn Mawr Hotel was founded in 1871, with the final wing finished in 1876. The hotel had 350 rooms, most commonly used as a nearby vacation stop for Philadelphia residents.
The Baldwin School
1888
As Bryn Mawr became less of a vacation destination and more of a suburban Philadelphia community, the hotel was transitioned into an all-girls school in 1888, and has remained in operation ever since.
