I was working in sales at Monaco Ford, and Craig had come in to look at pick-up truck. I got to know him a little bit while we were on the test drive. There was definitely chemistry between us. As soon as he left, I went up to my friend Hillary at work & said " he was such a sweetheart, why can't I meet a guy like that? My kids need someone like that in their lives." She happened to know him & told me to ask him out. I told her If it was meant to be he would take initiative and ask ME out... so I let it be. Fast forward 6 months...I get a friend request from Craig on IG. Every time he came into The dealership for service he would come over to my desk & talk with me. Some times he would gently hint that we should go out but didn’t at that point flat out ask me...Then he would ask to go out at inconvenient times like during my lunch break at work. It seemed every time he would come, I would get swamped with customers and couldn't go.Finally, I got frustrated, & decided if he didn't ask me out at a NORMAL time to have a date ( like a Saturday night) then I was going to move on. He must have been frustrated too, because the next day, he finally asked me out at a normal time! The poor guy was probably sick of waiting around in the waiting room for hours! We made plans for the Saturday after Valentines day. The week before, I started talking myself out of going. I was full of nerves and excuses as to why we would never work out, all week I kept writing and deleting my text message to cancel...Then Valentines day came and he sent me a dozen chocolate covered strawberries with a cute note from my " secret admirer". Now I COULDN'T cancel on him. He made reservations at a nice restaurant and we ended up chatting up a storm at the restaurant for 2 hours, then we talked in the parking lot for another 3 hours after that! As soon as he got home, he called me to make sure I got home safe & to tell me what a great night he had. He got the truck and the sales woman’s heart! ❤️
