Pike Place Market is a must visit for anyone who has not yet been to one of the oldest continuously operated public markets in the US. Kira and Craig love coming down here on random weekday mornings when it less crowded to stroll through the maze of stalls selling fresh produce, seafood, flowers and crafts. Be sure to check out the famous flying fish too!
Ballard is a vibrant and diverse neighborhood where Kira and Craig currently live. Ballard is known for its Nordic heritage, seafood, brewery district, the Ballard Locks, live music & shopping. We highly recommend taking a stroll down Ballard Ave on Sunday during the Farmers Market or checking out one of our favorite breweries (ask us for recs!) to explore one of Seattle's most unique neighborhoods!
Take a scenic drive or water taxi to Alki Beach in West Seattle, where you can enjoy stunning views of the city skyline and the Olympic Mountains. Relax on the sandy shores, take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront path or indulge in some fresh seafood at a restaurant like Harry's Beach House where Kira and Craig had their first date!
Located on the waterfront, next to the Omnidome, this aquarium features exotic fishes, sea mammals and other ocean life. See the sea lions, harbor seals, incredibly cute sea otters and even come face to face with a shark. New exhibits are added often along with, special events and outings.
Visit one of Seattle's best-known landmarks - The Space Needle! Sip on a cold drink from 520 ft in the air while you take in the best views Seattle has to offer. We also recommend checking out Chihuly Garden & Glass museum below the space needle while you are there!
The Museum of Pop Culture is one of the most interesting stops in Seattle. Located at the Seattle Center, this museum takes you through music history by immersing you in nearly 80,000 artifacts including photos, sound archives, costumes and musical instruments from notable artists. Most exhibits are interactive, allowing visitors to literally play with them. Also here is the Science Fiction Museum & Hall, which honors the greatest minds in the genre.
The Seattle Art Museum is internationally recognized for its excellent collection of Asian, African and Native American art and for its fine collection of modern art produced by Pacific Northwest artists. The permanent collection includes 21,000 pieces and while it doesn't have huge collections of European art, it does have plentiful local art and wonderful visiting exhibits. The museum is centrally located downtown near the waterfront and Pike Place Market.
An iconic location in Seattle for the perfect selfie! Surrounding the troll are some delicious bites like Sea Wolf Bakery, Red Star Taco, and Kin Len Late Night Bites Thai. Walk along Fremont Ave and experience one of the oldest neighborhoods in Seattle.
