We love you guys! The health of each of you and your loved ones are what matters most. Currently, we are not ready to make any solid decisions about what will and will not be required of our guests, as we have no idea what the situation will look like in June 2022. If there is a large surge like we had over the last few months, we may request that guests be prepared to show a photo of a timely negative test result before attending. At this time however, we do not plan to require it. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We will keep this page updated as the date gets close should any new information or plans arise.
Dress Code is Black-Tie Optional, so let's get FANCY! As an FYI, some of the venue grounds are grassy-keep this in mind when making shoe selections!
Temperatures are likely to be in the low 70's. Be mindful that our venue is right on the ocean so it could be breezy, especially during the ceremony at the Oceanside amphitheater. Gents should be fine in jackets, ladies plan to bring jackets, shawls, pashminas, etc
After the ceremony, feel free to use this time taking some of your own photos on the grounds as you make your way to cocktail hour. Harkness has endless photo opportunities from the lush gardens, the expansive lawn, and even the beach! Cocktail hour begins at 5pm under the tent at The Eolia Mansion. For anyone that feels they may need to hitch a ride from ceremony space to the cocktail hour/reception, venue staff will be on site to provide golf cart "shuttles" between venue locations. Walking distance between the two locations is about 300 yards.
We'll be providing transportation from The Mystic Marriot to Harkness and back after the reception. You are welcome to drive on your own, parking is free onsite! A bus provided by First Student will arrive at the Marriott for 3:30pm, with a departure time of 3:45pm. Proceed to the North Entrance (to the left of the hotel) where all transportation pick up and drop off takes place. Buses are not authorized to pick up or drop off guests at the front entrance of the hotel. After 3:45pm, you will need to obtain your own transportation to the venue. If you do choose to drive there, but find yourself in need of our transportation back to the hotel, the venue has told us guests are allowed to leave their cars overnight and can come back for them anytime after the park gates reopen the next day at 8:00AM.
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
