Things To Do

Here are some of our favorite spots around the city!

Stellar Pizza, Ale, & Cocktails

5513 Airport Way South, Seattle, WA 98108
, (206) 763-1660

Didn't find one of the best pizza spots in Seattle until this year! We went for the "Ellis Italian", but we're sure any of the other choices are solid.

Uwajimaya

600 5th Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98104
, (206) 624-6248

You can easily spend hours browsing the various Asian snacks and teas. There is an adjoining bookstore (Kinokuniya) with cute stationery and an anime/video game section upstairs.

GameWorks Seattle

1511 7th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101
, (206) 521-0952

Once in a while, we'll go to GameWorks on Thursdays—they hold a $10 special on unlimited arcade games from 5pm-close!

Japonessa Sushi Cocina

1400 1st Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101
, (206) 971-7979

Sushi!! I'm getting hungry writing this.

Union Bay Natural Area

3501 Northeast 41st Street, Seattle, WA 98105
, (206) 543-8616

Also known as the "Montlake Fill", this is one of our favorite spots to walk and go birding! It's an easy and flat walk with beautiful views toward the Eastside. Parking is free at the Center for Urban Horticulture.

Goodwill Seattle

1400 South Lane Street, Seattle, WA 98144
, (206) 860-5711

This is the largest thrift store in the city, and one of our (okay, Joy's) favorite spots to hunt good deals!

Shultzy's Bar & Grill

4114 University Way, Seattle, WA 98105
, (206) 548-9461

This is where we had our first date. College bar, but you can't go wrong ordering something with beer cheese dip!

Columbia City Ale House

4914 Rainier Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98118
, (206) 723-5123

One of the favorite spots close to home. Joy recommends the "Southwest Steak Sandwich".

Seward Park

5900 Lake Washington Boulevard South, Seattle, WA 98118
, (206) 684-4396

Seward Park is a great spot for walking and exploring. Stick to the outer loop for walking (not rollerblading—ask Joy how she knows) and seeing if "the mountain is out", or venture into the inner forested area for some classic PNW vibes.

Cedar River Trail Park

1060 Nishiwaki Lane, Renton, WA 98057

Lovely park near the reception venue to go for a walk, play on a playground, or look at birds!

For all the days along the way
