Can we bring our kids to the reception or brunch?

Answer

Please leave your kids at home (unless your invitation states otherwise) and enjoy a fun and relaxing weekend with us! For guests with invited children: It is encouraged ALL guests leave children under 5 years of age at home. This is going to be a long night of food, fun, and dancing. Children under the age of five may not enjoy all the after hours fun! The venue is approximately 30+ minutes from the nearest hotel block. Please consider this as well as transportation arrangements when considering bringing children.

Can I bring my dog?

While we would love for dogs to attend, please leave your pets at home.

Can we come see The Manor house prior to the ceremony?

Answer

As much as we would love to see you before the ceremony and show off The Manor house, please do not come to the venue until ceremony time, as the entire bridal party will be getting ready onsite.

What is Black Tie?

Answer

Our wedding is Black Tie. Men should wear a tuxedo or a snazzy dark suit with either a bow tie or necktie. Ladies should wear a formal gown, or a dressy cocktail dress. Ladies - all walking surfaces are smooth and paved.

Is the wedding indoors or outside?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outside. Cocktail hour will be indoors and outdoors in The Manor house. The reception will take place indoors.

How do I get there? Is there transportation?

Answer

Transportation will be provided from the Homewood Suites of Leesburg, Comfort Suites, and Hampton Inn and Suites of Leesburg. Busses will pick up at the Leesburg hotel blocks at 3:20pm. Busses will depart after the reception and afterparty at The View at Bluemont at 10:30pm and 12:15am respectively. Please indicate your desire to use provided transportation in the RSVP for planning purposes. If you are driving to the venue, please know the roads around Bluemont are quite narrow, some are unpaved, and unlit. Plan extra time for a prompt arrival. While celebrating with us, please drink responsibly if you are driving.

Where should I stay?

Answer

The closest hotels are in Leesburg, VA approximately 30 minutes from The View at Bluemont. A block of rooms at a discounted rate are available at two hotels; The Hampton Inn and Suites and Homewood Suites in Leesburg, VA. The hotels are next door to one another. There are a limited number of rooms available at the discounted rate. Please make reservations as soon as possible if you want the discounted rate. We have arranged for transportation to and from from these hotels. Also there are many inns and vacation rental homes through VRBO and AirBnB within 10 miles of The View at Bluemont. Does Uber or Lyft go to Bluemont?

Answer

Do not rely upon any ride share services for your roundtrip transportation. During day time hours and depending where you are coming from Uber may be available from Leesburg and certainly from Dulles. Uber is not available from Bluemont. Will there be restrooms available inside and outside?

All restrooms will be indoors.
