We met online during the peak of COVID-19 on Eharmony. We went on our first date in September when everything was still closed down, so we got creative. We ate outside at a restaurant in Fort Collins, walked around city park, and then sat in Blake's truck going back and forth sharing our favorite songs. Our second date was a drive in movie since theaters were still closed. And on September 20th - we were officially dating!

We were on vacation in Florida celebrating the one year anniversary of my first cancer surgery. I figured what a time to also celebrate something new. I had told Kaitlyn that I had wanted to plan an evening for us, which was to include dinner at a local Italian restaurant and a walk along the beach to get there. Knowing that I wanted to commemorate the proposal, I had previously arranged for a wedding photographer to be “taking sunset photos”. As soon as we hit the spot, I got down on my knee and the rest was history. We finished the night with a sunset photo shoot (many of the pictures here on the website) and of course the Italian dinner.
