Angela and Craig met while scooping ice cream at Sparky's Creamery on 5th and Mill Avenue in Tempe, Arizona; about a half-mile away from Arizona State University where they both attended College. Angela offered to take Craig to pick up his new bike because he didn't have a car. They had lunch at Qdoba and the cashier offered Angela free chips and salsa but none to Craig, something they laugh about now. They continued to keep in touch and Craig found himself asking her to lunch for their first "official date". Of course he picked a New York Style Deli and the best part was that he paid with Maroon & Gold Dollars. He claimed he needed to use them all before he graduated. Over the next few months they had several dates. Fortunately for Angela, they expanded beyond just places that accepted those M&G dollars. They went to a ton of concerts together during their first year of dating and they will always remember (at least MOSTLY remember). For Christmas break 2011, they decided to drive the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) with Ellie (their dog) up to Angela's parent’s house. On the drive, Angela told Craig that she was going to tell her parents that they we were dating, and the rest is history!
Angela and Craig both love being outdoors so during the winter they travel to Flagstaff, Arizona often to snowboard. They had always wanted to do the scenic chairlift in the summer to see the view from a different perspective. What a perspective Angela got! Craig asked a stranger to take their picture and got down on one knee. The stranger ended up videotaping the whole thing! It is now a special moment they have captured from that day that they'll always have to remind them of how incredible that day was.
