This is one of the most popular hikes in the area, but for good reason! This is a stunning 7 mile hike that takes you into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness to beautiful Snow Lake. Jeff took Natalie on this hike the first weekend she ever visited Snoqualmie Pass. Be prepared for crowds. Note: This hike is about 30 miles west of Roslyn, WA.
Gold Creek Pond is a picturesque spot to stop and view some of the beautiful peaks of Snoqualmie Pass. There is a paved walking path that circumnavigates the pond and is just under a mile. A great spot to stop either on your way to Roslyn or on your way back to Seattle. We often come here after work for a quick nature walk or so Jeff can show off his rock skipping skills. Note: Gold Creek Pond is about 30 Miles west of Roslyn, WA in the small town of Snoqualmie Pass where Nat and Jeff live.
Cooper Lake is a pristine alpine lake fed by the towering glaciers from the peaks above. This is a great spot to spend the day or go for a hike. Jeff enjoys fishing here as it has a variety of trout species (don't forget your fly rod!). If you are looking for a longer adventure, the Pete Lake trailhead is also located here. An eight mile out and back trail with minimal elevation gain to a beautiful alpine lake.
Dru Bru is our local brewery! There is a small tap room up at Snoqualmie Pass where we live, and their larger brewery is located in Cle Elum. If you're lucky, their seasonal pumpkin beer (our favorite) might be on tap!
This cute restaurant/coffee shop is also an awesome local bookstore! We love stopping here to get a coffee and browse for books or gifts. It's a must stop anytime we are in Roslyn.
If you are a whiskey lover like us, there is a Heritage Distilling tasting room located right in downtown Roslyn that offers whiskey tasting.
There are lots of options for mountain biking in and around the area! Plus, The Summit at Snoqualmie's bike park will still be open for the season.
