We're Getting Married

Our love story began over 4 years ago on January 25th, 2021 with an unexpected connection sparked by the lyrics of a Frank Ocean song. Our paths converged in the digital realm, brought together by the soulful melody and poignant lyrics of Pilot Jones by Frank Ocean. After exchanging messages and discovering our shared admiration for Oceans music, we knew there was something special about to unfold. Our first date, which happened to coincide on Valentine’s Day in 2021 in Hattiesburg, MS and it was the perfect opportunity to translate our online connection into a real-life encounter. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Patio 44 that was filled with lots of talking and plenty of laughter. During our time on this date, we also discovered we are from the same hometown of Vicksburg, MS. It was a beautiful testament to the unexpected and profound connection we had discovered. From that moment, we knew our lives were forever changed. From our first date, our love story has unfolded with an effortless grace. We have shared countless adventures that include traveling around the U.S., lots of laughter, and quiet moments of understanding. Our shared love for travel has taken us on unforgettable adventures and has deepened our connection in more ways than we never could have imagined. We’ve celebrated milestones, weathered challenges, and have felt our bond deepen with each passing day. Then, as the year of 2023 drew to a close, our love story reached a new milestone. In the warmth of the holiday season, surrounded by friends and family on Christmas Day, Shawn proposed, asking Brittany to join in a lifetime of love and commitment. With joyful tears and overwhelming happiness, Brittany said yes. In that beautiful moment, our love story took another breathtaking turn, and we knew that our love was destined to last a lifetime. As we prepare to exchange vows and profess our love in front of our cherished loved ones, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for the future. We eagerly look forward to beginning this new chapter as partners in life, forever bound by the music that first brought us together and the love that has grown between us.
