The year was 2020, oh what a year that was! Katie was figuring out her next step after having her hospitality career ended by the pandemic. Eric was at the start of a long journey to be medically retired from the military. Both approaching a turning point in their lives, starting fresh for two different reasons but both allowed Katie and Eric to meet. As we all settled into the new "normal" the pandemic had created, Katie and Eric met as most these days do, online. Katie was preparing to relocate her life to Las Vegas to start over, and Eric was approaching the opportunity to choose his next move for the first time since joining the military. He was currently in Las Vegas unsure if he should stay or move. The two hit it off right away, dating in the world of virtual dates, phone calls, and facetime chats. After meeting in person on one of Katie's many trips to Vegas in preparation of moving, the two were inseparable. The distance although challenging for a new relationship, only lasted a short time before Katie made the big move to Las Vegas. Katie and Eric found a common love of movies which was a staple date night early in the relationship. They enjoyed spending quality time watching new and old classics together. They also discovered their mutual love of sweets (specifically Crumbl cookies), and playing tourist in their home town. Katie and Eric fell in love and soon decided that they were each other's forever! Eric surprised Katie with a meaningful proposal including Katie's parents and brother being there. The wedding date was quickly set for November 11, 2022 in Charleston, SC. Katie, a hospitality professional and event planner, was eager to plan a beautiful and memorable event for their nuptials. When the stress of planning an event across the country arose, Eric would remind his bride to be that he would marry her anywhere, the celebration was just the cherry on top. Katie and Eric look forward to sharing their love with all of you in November!
