In 2011, I noticed Shawn at the softball fields and thought he was cute. I mentioned to a few of my friends that I wanted to meet him. A few weeks later we were all at a tournament in Silverthorne, CO and our friend Shari said she would get his number for me. I headed back home and it was a few days before he actually reached out. We ended up texting a little over the next week but he lived in Denver and I lived in Loveland so we still hadn’t met in person. Finally we decided we needed to go on a date. I drove down to Denver and ended up having our first date in his living room with his roommate. Funny enough, I had the best time and could feel that there was something special about him. Another week passed and I went to watch him play softball and at the Aurora Sports Park he asked if I’d be his girlfriend. And as the saying goes, the rest is history. Over the last 11, almost 12 years we have built such a beautiful life together with our 7 year old son, 2 dogs and a house in Northern CO. We are beyond thankful for all that we have been able to share and create together! We are so excited to officially become the Lewis family…it’s long overdue! We can’t wait to share our special day with all of you who have been a part of our love story! 💚
