Michael and Tanner wanted to go to a bar of high standards and quality cocktails. As they walked into Bobby Baker’s Lounge, Michael saw the most gorgeous girl sitting at the bar with her friend, Christine. Seeing this, Michael turned to Tanner and quietly said, "Cover me, I'm going in." Tanner made a move without hesitation and immediately began running interference on Kelly's friend. Michael moved in to be closer to Kelly. His opening line was simple, “What brings you to this lovely establishment?” “I live in Waldo”, Kelly responded (with her signature eye roll). “Cool.” was all Michael could muster in the presence of an angel. The conversation progressed, and they began talking about everything - life, love, the pursuit of happiness (you get the idea). At some point, Tanner began to lose his captive audience as Christine had grown bored with his antics. Now on the loose, Christine turned her focus to the fully distracted Kelly, who was enthralled in the good-looking, humorous-natured, gentle giant standing behind her. Christine adamantly told the two it was time for Kelly and Christine to leave. A discussion ensued as Michael wasn’t ready to release this angel back into the wild. A recommendation was made to exchange numbers and pick this conversation up at another time. So they did. They exchanged numbers, began texting, and the rest is history.
