Is this a wedding or just a vow ceremony?

Answer

This is a wedding in Tiffani’s grandparents’ backyard. We will be having the ceremony, then pictures, then reception with dinner! Be sure to bring some comfy shoes, as this will be on grass!!!

Are we able to bring anyone with us?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are tight on space and had to leave a lot of guests out for that reason, so we kindly ask you do not bring any plus ones, only who was included on the invite. We are sorry for any inconveniences this may cause, but hope you can still attend and support us!

What can we wear?

Answer

Please dress formal for the ceremony, as we are hiring a photographer & a videographer to capture our big day! Please DO NOT wear white/grey/burgundy, unless you were asked to do so. This is an October wedding not too far from the Detroit river, so please dress according to the weather and no heels, (it’s in the grass). After the ceremony and pictures, feel free to wear whatever you like to dance and have fun in, even if you wanna throw on some sweats. The dress code is formal, but not black tie. A nice shirt and pants or a nice dress will do fine. Think, something you might wear to church. For the guys, a nice shirt and slacks will do. But again, after pictures and during the reception, feel free to wear whatever suits you best. Temperatures will be in the 50s & 60s. Remember to bring some comfy shoes, ladies🥰

Pictures and Videos: Can we take our own?

This is an awesome question!!! This is an unplugged ceremony, so during the CEREMONY, we ask that you do NOT take pictures or videos, as we are hiring a professional photographer and videographer for the event. If you do take personal pictures during the RECEPTION, we ask that you post them on Instagram and/or Facebook and tag Tiffani (Keenan doesn’t use social media), use the QR codes provided on the tables, OR by uploading them on social media including the the Hashtag #CoxCrewSayIDo so we can get your captured shots!! Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation!

What Activities Will There Be?

We will have a food truck present for dinner & we will have dancing, corn hole, and jumbo bowling! Please bring some comfy shoes for the reception so you can enjoy the night, as it’s in Tiffani’s grandparents’ backyard so you’ll have to be walking around in the grass! We will be close to the Detroit River as well, so dress appropriately for the weather! 😘

How do I access the island?

Answer

There are 2 separate bridges to access Grosse Ile: The Toll Bridge & The Free Bridge. The toll bridge which costs $3.50 for cash, or $4.50 with card one way ($7 - $9 round trip). The current toll rates are below: https://tollguru.com/grosse-ile-toll-bridge#Current_Toll_Rates_by_Vehicle_Class_.282025.29 The TOLL bridge is on WEST JEFFERSON between SIBLEY & PENNSYLVANIA . This is the closest bridge to the house. The FREE bridge is located at VAN HORN and WEST JEFFERSON.
