What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to be ready to come into VOWS by 4:15! Our ceremony will move really quickly, so it's important for everyone to come in right around 4:15 to get settled.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We recommend one of two hotels on E. Locust Street: Staybridge Suites or Embassy Suites. Both are close to our venue, parking options, and local businesses. There are also a few AirBnb's in the area, if you're looking for more privacy and don't mind a slightly longer walk. On AirBnb, search for listings in "East Village, Des Moines".

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There won't be hired transportation between the hotels and our ceremony. The recommended hotels are less than 1 city block away from the ceremony, and the venue has parking options at the front and back. We recommend parking next to the venue, or walking from the hotels.
