FAQs

Question

What is the wedding day attire?

Answer

The attire for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception is Black Tie. We suggest women refrain from wearing thin heels/stilettos since all events are outdoors in the grass.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please use the RSVP tab on our website.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes, transportation will be provided to and from Downtown Annapolis and Whitehall. Shuttles will pick-up and drop-off at The Westin, The Graduate Annapolis, The Courtyard Marriott, and The Hilton Garden Inn Annapolis Downtown. Parking is also available at the venue if you are driving.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to size capacity our wedding is RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed when you pull up your RSVP.

Question

Can I bring my kid(s)?

Answer

While we love your kids, weekend events will only be for those listed on your invite.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour immediately following will be outside. The reception will be under a tent on the grounds.

Question

Are there other events during the weekend?

Answer

Yes! There is a welcome party Friday night at William Paca House and Garden. Please visit the Schedule section of our website for details. The William Paca House and Garden is conveniently located near City Dock in the downtown Colonial Annapolis Historic District and is a 10-minute walk from our hotels located in Downtown Annapolis. When planning travel, traffic may be heavy on a Friday afternoon from the DC and Baltimore areas, so we encourage you to arrive in Annapolis early and explore all the downtown has to offer! Public parking is not available at the William Paca House and Garden. Visit accessannapolis.com for the most up-to-date information on parking in downtown Annapolis. Several parking garages are just a short walk from the William Paca House and Garden.

Question

Where can I find additional background on the history of Whitehall?

Answer

Whitehall was the home of Governor Horatio Sharpe, the colonial Governor of Maryland, who used the home mainly for entertaining and was once a place where Presidents George Washington and Thomas Jefferson retreated to party. It was the first property in Maryland to receive the Landmark designation by the National Register of Historic Places. Read more about the history of Whitehall here: https://whitehallmd.com/history
