Question

What are the travel requirements?

Answer

Aruba is international and will require a US passport for travel. There is also a required ED immigration form that needs to be filled out prior to boarding your international flight. Your airline will require proof. Please visit the "TRAVEL" tab to find the link directly to the form!

Question

Will there be a reception in the states if I can't make it to Aruba?

Answer

Yes! We plan on having a reception or a ‘Happily Ever After Party’ to celebrate with guests who were unable to travel abroad so don't fret. We do understand that this is a HUGE ask to travel internationally for our wedding.

Question

What is the weather like in Aruba?

Answer

The average temperature in Aruba is 82 degrees. Aruba is known for its clear skies, bright sunshine (more sunny days than any other island!) and cooling trade winds practically every day of the year. Aruba is located outside the hurricane belt so except for a few scattered annual weather events and some brief showers on some days, the sun is practically always shining.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Beach cocktail attire is suggested. The wedding is taking place directly in the sand so avoid high heels. Temperatures can drop into the 70s at night so we may suggest a light sweater in case it gets chilly after the sun sets.

Question

What is the venue like?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will take place at sunset on the beach of Villa Caskai. The villa is located directly on a private beach in Savaneta, Aruba.

Question

What languages are spoken on the island?

Answer

While Dutch and Papiamento are the official languages, most Arubans also speak English and Spanish.

Question

How do I get around the island?

Answer

There are no Ubers or Lyfts in Aruba so the main form of public transportation are taxis. They are very common around the island and most hotels are more than willing to call you one if you needed to leave the resort. We do suggest renting a car if you are staying off a resort at an Airbnb or VRBO since taxis can add up. The island is small and easy to navigate and yes, they do drive on the same side of the road as the US.

Question

Can I park at the Villa Caskai?

Answer

There is unfortunately no guest parking at the villa so we have charted the Kukoo Kunuku party bus to bring guests to and from the wedding ceremony. Guests should meet at the Divi all inclusive resort at 4:45 pm as the party bus will depart for the Villa at 5pm. The bus will then leave the villa at 10pm to return guests to The Divi Resort. If you do not wish to take the party bus, the Villa is accessible by taxi the address is: Savaneta 182J. The villa is about 20-25 minutes from the major hotel area on the island.
