FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our wedding is semi-formal, so we invite guests to wear polished but comfortable outfits, dresses, skirts, or nice separates for women, and suits, slacks, or dress shirts for men. Please avoid jeans or athletic wear. To complement our wedding party, which will be wearing earthy greens and browns, guests are welcome (but not required) to wear neutral or earth-toned colors.

Question

What happens if I don’t RSVP in time?

Answer

If we do not receive your RSVP by the date, it will be marked as “No.” We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide a total guest count to vendors in a timely manner. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

Can I bring a Guest/Date?

Answer

Your invitation will be made out to “Your Name” and “Guest Name” if a plus one has been given to you. We, unfortunately, cannot accommodate additional guests.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Due to limited space, we kindly ask that only those listed on the invitation attend. Depending on the family, this may include children - we’ve tried our best to tailor each invite. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

No - we’ve chosen to have an alcohol-free celebration. We don’t drink, and we’re creating a space that reflects our values and the things we enjoy the most. We kindly ask that guests respect this choice. Anyone who arrives intoxicated or brings alcohol will be asked to leave.

Question

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Outdoors! Rain or shine, our ceremony will take place in the gardens at Christianson’s Nursery. Early October in the Pacific Northwest can be cool and a little unpredictable, so we encourage guests to bring a light layer, and choose shoes suitable for grass and gravel pathways. We’ll have umbrellas on hand if needed.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask for an unplugged ceremony. This means no phones, cameras, or other devices during the ceremony. We want everyone to be fully present with us in the moment. We’ll have a professional photographer capturing everything, and we can’t wait to share those photos with you afterward.

Question

What’s the schedule for the evening?

Answer

After the ceremony, we’ll enjoy dinner, a few heartfelt speeches, and some special dances (like our first dance and parent dances). Then we’ll share dessert to end the main celebration. After dessert, we’ll begin winding things down. Our close family and wedding party will stay a bit longer for a relaxed, private gathering to end the night.
