Mike and Courtney tended bar together at Ivy in NYC for months before they realized their compatibility. In fact, there was a bit of a rivalry going on for a while, until they grew into an incredible bartending duo! Slowly, romance began to bloom. Mike courted Courtney with after-work pancakes at 4 am, bouquets of flowers for no reason, and date nights to beautiful NYC whiskey sipping hot-spots. The summer of 2016 marked the beginning of their grand love story. Working together and eventually living together, they realized they had found their perfect fit.

A few weeks before Courtney's 30th birthday, Mike took her on a trip to Costa Rica to celebrate an exciting new decade of her life! Little did she know, that Mike had something ELSE planned... It was a Sunday, the second day of the trip. Mike and Courtney were strolling along on a gorgeous dark sand beach in Costa Rica. Pink and purple hues danced through the sky as the sun began to set. Courtney realized that Mike was no longer walking alongside her, and looked to see where he had gone off to. She turned around to find him down on one knee, right there on the beach with an engagement ring in his hand! Mike, with his way with words, offered a beautiful marriage proposal and Courtney was brought to tears. She was utterly speechless, she almost forgot to answer him! The answer was YES!! Tourists and locals along the beach offered congratulations to the newly engaged lovebirds. On to the next phase of their lifelong journey...
