September is the perfect time to see the aspens in all their golden glory! Consider hiking or driving through Golden Gate Canyon State Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, or anywhere in between.

Leaf Peeping

Easy hiking near the venue, surrounded by mountain views. Fairly easy/flat trails so a great outdoors option for out of town guests who are still acclimating to the altitude.

Saint Vrain Greenway

Enjoy an iconic nitro milk stout at one of the oldest breweries in the state.

Left Hand Brewing Company

Literally around the corner from the venue. Great spot for those needing a break from all the beer drinking.

St. Vrain Cidery

Oskar Blues has a great taproom and a full restaurant across the street. Fun, laid back, delicious!

We HIGHLY recommend this one! French-style bistro with delicious sandwiches and pastries, it also shares a space with an eclectic market and cheese shop.

The spot that really got us into CO microbreweries. Many pre-Broncos game beers have been had here and they hosted Courtney's grad party when she completed her MA in English.

Where we initially fell in love with Arvada and made the decision to buy our house. Do not miss the chicken and waffles during weekend brunch.

School House Kitchen and Libations

Where we got engaged, home of the Stanley Hotel (aka inspiration for The Shining), and host of some beautiful hiking trails. Be wary if you're from out of town and not used to the altitude.

In short: Drew's holy land. Check out a game at the historic ballpark that has views of mountains and was the birthplace of Blue Moon Brewery.
