Whether it be traveling to Ireland on a girl's trip or starting multiple businesses, both Courtney and Ben had their fair share of years figuring out the world. Who knew one message to Ben about the Enneagram on a Profile that would change everything? Little did Courtney know at the time that Ben had an incredible accomplice helping optimize his dating profile that helped her see just enough but be curious to learn more. January 2021 in the frigid cold of Chicago winter, Courtney and Ben first met. Running on CooKoo time (about 5 mins late) and Ben was 15 mins early since he had driven from WI, they planned on meeting at one of their favorite local spots called Happy Camper. Attention to detail is not one of Ben’s strengths so he may have forgotten to get a reservation, resulting in last minute location change to a tiny high-top outside. No matter the temperature or the fact they couldn’t feel their extremities, there wasn’t anything a shot of Fireball, and good laughs wouldn’t cure. They quickly realized they were made for each other and officially started dating. After a few short months of living in different cities, Ben made the decision to move back to Chicago to be closer to one of his favorite people. After many months of romantic date nights, gut-wrenching moments of laughter, and Courtney letting Ben win Mario Kart every time (He was actually just better) they managed how to grow a life together. Next, as any millennial couple does, after a year and a half of Courtney not-so-subtly asking, they decided to foster a precious little dog named Frankie. Within seconds they failed and formally added Frankie Francis SausageRoll Ten Pas-Klein to the family. Fast forward to May 2023, Ben planned an entire trip to Puerto Rico for a “Birthday Trip” where he completely surprised Courtney and asked to do the rest of life with her. Doing life with one another, through thick and thin, the best is yet to come.
