FAQs

Question

What health and safety measures will you be taking during the event?

Answer

We will be abiding by the most up to date CDC guidance for in-person gatherings. We are strongly encouraging all who are capable to be fully vaccinated if they plan to attend our wedding. Those that are not vaccinated will need to wear a mask when not seated at their assigned table, including getting food and beverages and while on the dance floor. Those that are fully vaccinated will not be required to wear a face mask during the event. If you are NOT vaccinated please contact me at vcbarone21@gmail.com as we need to seat those unvaccinated people together to ensure our guests are comfortable during the reception. Please continue to check this website as the date of the wedding approaches for more particular guidelines.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There is a gate at the main entrance to Rocky Neck State Park where the attendants will direct all wedding guests to an upper parking lot located directly next to the pavilion. There will also be signs along the road to help you find the parking lot. Parking is free.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive by 4:00pm at the latest (30 minutes before the start of the ceremony at 4:30pm) to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses or pantsuits/dress pants, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If your invitation includes a guest, you may bring a date.

Question

What will the weather be like in Niantic in October?

Answer

The weather in Niantic in October is typically in the high 50s to mid 60s. Since the ceremony will be outside in the late afternoon, we recommend bringing light jacket. The reception following the ceremony will be indoors.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception inside the Rocky Neck pavilion for the cocktail hour where we will be serving hors d'oeuvres and beverages.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, for all guests over the age of 21 there will be an open bar with a selection of wine, beer and cocktails.

Question

What will your wedding-day timeline look like?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will start promptly at 4:30pm. A cocktail hour will immediately follow the ceremony from 5:00 - 6:00pm, while the bridal party will be taking photographs. Dinner will be served between 6:30-7:00pm and the cake cutting will occur approximately at 8:30pm, with plenty of dancing in between. Please note the above timeline is an estimate and is subject to change.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #BecomingtheBarones so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
