It all began shortly after Trevor moved from Wisconsin to St. Louis Park, in the same neighborhood as Courtney! We both were perusing the Bumble dating app one Saturday afternoon in November. He swiped right because of Courtney’s big smile and Courtney did because she thought Trevor had a kind & handsome face. A date was quickly planned at The Loop in the West End nearby. Trevor arrived first, nervously sitting at the bar awaiting Courtney’s arrival, “I’ll be the guy in the blue plaid shirt”, he texted. Courtney walked in a few minutes late, per usual, and we started our memorable first date filled with good cocktails, conversation & chemistry. The snowy afternoon turned to snowy evening and the date continued. A round of drinks turned to dinner where Trevor learned Courtney was vegan. All the usual questions followed, “but why?” “for the animals?” “you don’t miss burgers even a LITTLE?”. We ambled to the next bar, Cooper’s, to carry on. Courtney remembers the love on Trevor’s face as he talked about his family and how easily he made her laugh. We both reluctantly called it a night as bar close came, but not without making plans for a second date, the very next day, doing one of Courtney’s favorite things: grocery shopping. Courtney smiled on the entire drive home that first night. Trevor was excited for the first time in his life to go grocery shopping. The rest, as they say, is history.
