We're getting married!

Courtney and Tim met at Virginia Tech in December 2019 while studying engineering, during Courtney's junior year and Tim's senior year. They went on their first date at Cabo Fish Taco in Blacksburg in January 2020. During those early months, with the world shutdown, they filled their time with hiking and testing new recipes, usually each convinced they knew the best way. Tim stayed at Virginia Tech for his master's and graduated in May 2021, while Courtney finished undergrad. After that, Tim's career took him to Los Angeles for a year and then to Salt Lake City for another, while Courtney stayed in Blacksburg for grad school. They did long distance for two years, which meant a lot of flights, FaceTime, and making the most of every minute together, usually hiking, skiing, or planning their next trip. Tim didn't start out as a strong a skier, but he quickly decided he would be better than Courtney, and now she's the one trying to keep up. In the summer of 2023, after 25 flights, 6 moves, and 2 cross country road trips, everything finally aligned when they both moved to Maryland, back together in the same place with their sweet dog Harper, trading phone calls and countdowns for everyday life together. In August 2025, Tim proposed on a hike in Alaska at the top of a glacier field. From college to long distance and finally settling down, their story has always been about choosing each other through every stage. Now they can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of their favorite people!
