Wedding Party

Carrie Sleezer

Maid of Honor

With the heavy duty of being the bride's younger sister and her best friend, Carrie has been with Courtney through everything: the awkward stages, teenage angst, and a bad decision or two. She has helped Courtney to find joy and laugh even when life is getting the better of her. She's the one person Courtney has always turned to for everything, and now with Tanner in the picture she has found herself in an odd predicament: there's suddenly competition to be Courtney's favorite. While reluctant to let her sister move four hours away from her, Carrie has been promised sleepovers in the couple's future home, much to Tanner's dismay. He'll get over it.

Travis Boyles

Best Man

From being there for a lot of each other's highest highs and lowest lows, in the simplest of terms, Tanner's words are: "we've been through some stuff together." Travis and Tanner grew up with one other, but became even closer once they moved back from college and became the self-proclaimed Most Eligible Bachelors in Jewell County. Travis held his title until his marriage in 2023, leaving Tanner to carry the crown alone until Courtney showed up. Don't invite Travis and Tanner anywhere you plan to leave early - trust me, you won't. Their long standing fight over who gets the aux is still ongoing.

Maya Bishop

Bridesmaid

Cousin of the Bride and future doctor, Maya is like the second little sister Courtney never asked for, but doesn’t know what she would do without. She has grown up into a wonderful young woman seemingly overnight, and while this is a hard reality for Courtney to accept, Maya is one of Courtney's biggest blessings and makes her so proud every day. She is the life of the party and loves to have a good time. Find her on the dance floor at the reception and see - this girl is a vibe!

Lane Underwood

Groomsman

Knowing each other since practically birth, Tanner jokes he very well could be Lane's adopted brother after becoming a daily fixture in the Underwood house while growing up. And although the friendship might've started because of proximity (they grew up 100 yards apart), it's stood the test of time. Whether it's sports, farming, marriage, kids, or life, Lane is one of the biggest and best role models who's always willing to listen to Tanner's rants regardless if they're valid or not. Plus, he literally always has the breaking news.

Lori Bishop

Bridesmaid

Out of all of her bridesmaids, Lori has known Courtney the longest - since birth. She was a foundational figure in Courtney's love for KU basketball, and a great example of female strength and fortitude in Courtney's eyes. Whether you need a shoulder to cry on, someone to vent to over drinks, or someone to set up a get-together with the Redeker cousins, Lori is the go-to person. She has a heart of gold, but don't trust her with any secrets!

Bradley McVey

Groomsman

Someone that Courtney affectionately refers to as "The Other Woman," Brad is Tanner's best friend from college. He has the uncanny ability to call at some of the most inconvenient times, but when they do connect it's hard to get them off the phone. Bonded by a love for anything and everything to do with agriculture (their very first conversation was an argument about cows), both him and Tanner still live to make the other one admit "you were right". He is always game to give you advice, but follow at your own risk. He'll have to learn his place now that Courtney is Tanner's #1.

Amanda Schmelzle

Bridesmaid

The future sister in law of the bride (if her brother would get off his duff and propose already), Amanda has been a sweet addition to the Sleezer family, and the first inductee to the Sleezer siblings. Logan started bringing her around during the same time period in which Courtney met Tanner, and they hit it off right away. Amanda has a kind heart and gives the most sage advice for any dilemma. But most of all, she has given Courtney the best gift and some peace of mind: her brother found his person and forever fishing buddy.

Riley Konen

Groomsman

An unlikely friendship given Riley hails from Nebraska and is a staunch Cornhusker, he nevertheless showed up in grade school and has been a central figure ever since. Whether it was through HS, college, or navigating the changes of adulthood, he always has been the level-headed mediator of the group and the one to keep Tanner in check with his takes, whether on sports or life. Riley always makes the effort to show up whenever an idea gets dreamt up, and if there's a core memory to be had in life, chances are he’s a part of it. Fun fact: he loves the poop emoji, just ask him.

Logan Sleezer

Usher

Logan is the older brother of the bride, and enjoyed a blissful 3 1/2 years of being the only child before Courtney’s entrance into the world. A new baby meant Logan had to share, and for a time he was not about that (maybe still?). She hasn't heard "I hate you, Courtney" since she was 4 months old, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been muttered since. Everything is better with age though, and the bond between brother and sister is strong. While still able to annoy each other to no end teasing about their shortcomings, there’s a lot of love and respect in this sibling relationship. It just doesn't sound like it sometimes.

Landon Reed

Usher

Maybe simultaneously the most responsible one of the group and the one most ready to party. Being in the same 4-H club is what brought Landon and Tanner together, but they’ve since traded in tickets to the fair for K-State games; which Courtney, much to her chagrin, tags along for. We all feel a little safer around with Landon as our resident paramedic (we’ve only had to use him like 3 times, ok) but he’s always good for a laugh to fix the soul too. There are 1,000s of TikToks in Tanner’s inbox as proof.

Taneile Peroutek

Honor Attendant

The infamous little sister of the groom, Taneile catches a lot of grief, but it’s the price she pays for being the favorite child (allegedly). Oddly enough, the further the physical distance gets between brother and sister, the closer their bond seems to get. She is truly one of Tanner’s favorite people on earth and someone he can talk through anything with; she will always tell the truth, regardless if you want to hear it or not. Beyond music finds, her best quality might be her unrivaled wit and comedic relief. If you don’t laugh with her, you’ll laugh at her.
