We met in High School! I was a Freshman and he was a Senior. I was in art class while he was in woodworking and we would meet in the halls and talk, sit at the same lunch table and before we knew it, we spent all our time together! We wound up seperating, and he went to college and I went on to graduate high school and go to college. We reconnected the end of my junior year of college and have been exclusive as of Novemeber 23rd 2014! I say exclusive because we had been talking since July, but decided to keep it on the “down low” to see if anything would come of it. Spoiler alert: it worked out ;) Tanner and I did a long distance relationship for 2 years before we finally moved into the same apartment in Green Bay, WI in 2016. We have moved multiple times, to many cities, but we always stayed together.

Tanner had boughten us tickets to see “Dancing with the Stars” in Illinois for Christmas. We decided to make a weekend out of it and see my biological dad. During Christmas, we found out I was pregnant, so we also decided to tell me dad when we went down in February. Well, the night we told my dad about the pregnancy, Tanner also asked his permission to marry me. Tanner had already asked my step dad a while back, but was waiting to see my biological dad in person to ask him. So he was literally asking my biological dad a day before he was going to propose! Luckily, my dad said yes. So the next day, we got all dressed up, went out to dinner at “Texas De Brazil” where I was spoiled with any drink I wanted (non alcoholic of course) and many desserts! We then went to the Rosemont Theatre where the show was and we waited in line to buy me a shirt (something we never buy at performances, but i went with it). Afterward, Tanner wanted to get our picture taken on tos beutiful staircase that reminded me of the titanic. He went searching all over for a police officer to take the picture as my step dad is a police officer (he was going for all the feels) and the officer counted to 3, we smiled and I proceded to pick up our stuff and head up the stairs. Thats when he grabbed my hand and got down on one knee. Little did I know the officer was recording :)

On December 26th, 2017, I found out i was pregnant with our sweet baby girl! I had no intentions of hiding it from Tanner as we had been trying for a while. Little did I know that Tanner had planned on proposing in February at the Dancing with The Stars show! He had boughten the ring in November of 2017 and kept it a secret from me for all that time! When I was 5 months pregnant, Tanner and I made the decision to move back to Green Bay to be closer to family, and for me to eventually go back to my dream job with Brown County. At 8 months pregnant, we finally had found a home in Green Bay and we moved! It was pure chaos, but looking back, it was the right decision for our family. Tanner had a few jobs, but none he was in love with, but all of those jobs supported our family and gave me the opportunity to stay home with Ainsley for her first year of life. As many of you know, Ainsley didn’t have the easiest start to this world, so me being home with her was so important We have had many hiccups along the way, but now our sweet Ainsley is thriving, I am back to work with Brown County Child Protection, and Tanner has found a love for the Insurance Realm. Ainsley has been at her school for 3 months now and loves it! For the first time in over a year, our family is at a stable point in life and we couldn’t be happier! We can’t wait to officially be married, but are not enjoying the planning process! You all know Tanner and I, we see this as a celebration of our accomplishments as a couple, so expect simple, but a great time!
