We met in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where once a year our families would convene for a week long vacation. There's some photo proof we had known each other since we were little kids, but we re-met at 18 years old. During that week, we'd hang out here and there, but our acquaintanceship never quite made it past the North Carolina border. One year, after a few nights of drinking games, a few evenings of dinners, and a few beach days, something had changed. We spent the rest of that year back in Philadelphia brunching in Old City & bar hopping in Center City, and eventually found ourselves at the Continental Diner on Chestnut Street—starting what would be the rest of our lives.
