She says: After three years of attending Ole Miss, Sean and I finally had a class together. It wasn’t futbol that brought us together, but rather class. After he proved himself in a group project by pulling his weight (keep in mind he played Center- that’s a lot of weight!!), I was asked to meet him at the infamous Sigma Nu woodstock party. It was one of my favorite days ever. Not just because of the fun party, but because I think we both realized we met someone special. Fast forward to the summertime, there weren’t many kids who stuck around on campus. Aside from morning workouts, this was my favorite time on campus. Sean and I settled into a fun routine of team workouts and finding new foodie spots in Oxford. Football games with his family in The Grove are some of my favorite memories. I’m lucky to have gotten to watch him for 2 seasons after that summer, but even luckier he followed me to NC. We’re still scoping out fun spots with our new pup Curry. Until one day we had a marketing class together and group projects were being chosen—no this isn’t where I get the confidence. She looked at me, a familiar face, and asked if I’d like to join. We began to sit next to each other in class where I’d convince her to compete with me in some pre-class phone games, specifically anagrams (This is when I found out how competitive she really was because she couldn’t beat me. I started to let her win so I’d have a chance with her). *confidence* I invited her to Sigma Nu Woodstock where fun was had. We found out that we lived across the street from each other, and the only thing separating our houses was a fence…that was about chest high. Many ripped shorts later, we were dating! We conquered long distances, got to Charlotte together, and here we are. I can’t wait to marry you, Court. I love you
