William B. Umstead State Park
Umstead has miles of hiking trails, playgrounds for the kids, and is a safe place to go running while in town. The park is situated right in raleigh close to the airport and is a good, free place to get some fresh air!
Museum of Life and Science
The science museum is great for all ages! Its located in Durham which is about a 30 min drive from Raleigh.
North Carolina Museum of Art
The NC art museum has more than just indoor art. There are miles of paved walking trails, outdoor exhibits, and fun events almost every weekend. Great for all ages.
Downtown Raleigh
If the weather is nice, park downtown and walk around to enjoy the shops, food, and bars in the downtown area. The Fayetteville street mall and Glenwood South are two popular areas.
