FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

We ask that you RSVP by June 19th, 2022 at the latest so that we can best accommodate you.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4:30 pm and we invite you to arrive between 3:45-4:20 PM.

Question

Where should guests park?

Answer

There is a free parking lot on site and ample free street parking surrounding the venue. The venue allows cars to stay parked overnight if picked up in the morning.

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our entire wedding will take place indoors at our venue, The Whim! The ceremony and reception will take place indoors, and you will be able to enjoy our cocktail hour both inside and outside on the patio! This week in July is historically the driest - and also the hottest - in Minnesota, but know that the venue has air conditioning.

Question

What Color will the Bridal Party be wearing?

Answer

The Bridesmaids will be wearing a deep olive green and the Groomsmen will be wearing black suits.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We absolutely adore your children, but in order to meet the capacity requirements of our venue, we respectfully request you arrange childcare for the evening and enjoy our adult-only wedding.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In order to best accommodate our guests, and meet the capacity requirements of the venue, our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! If you have a food allergy or dietary constraint, please indicate when you select your meal choice (available at RSVP).

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We will be hosting beer and wine! We are especially excited to host craft beer from our hometowns: Lupulin Brewing Co. from Big Lake (Courtney's hometown) and Lift Bridge Brewing Co. located in Stillwater (Sam's hometown)! Additional cocktails will be available for purchase.

Question

What health and safety measures will be taken during the event?

Answer

We are in constant communication with our venue and vendors and continually monitoring COVID-19 trends. We will continue to follow CDC recommendations and guidelines to host a safe event. We do ask if you have tested positive for COVID-19 the week of the wedding or are feeling unwell the day of the wedding, to please stay home.

For all the days along the way
