The weekend will be pretty casual so wear whatever you'd like. For the ceremony and dinner after, the dress is tropical chic or beach semi-formal. Wear something that looks nice but you'll be comfortable in. Since it might be hot, jackets for men are not expected. The events will be in a garden area with brick, mulch, and grass, so heels are not recommended. All events take place outside.
February is pretty warm usually. Towards the end of February average highs of 78 and lows of 70. It doesn't rain often so fingers crossed! (26-20 for our celcius friends).
Our ceremony will be brief with drinks and photos following at the same location. Cocktail hour, dinner, and dessert will follow at the Hemingway Home.
We will have transportation from the ceremony venue to the reception venue. We will also have a golf cart for the whole weekend for anyone who needs help getting around!
Our wedding and reception will be 100% outside. There is no indoor space available at either venue. In the event of rain, we will have tents. The ceremony will be in the garden area of Old Town Manor Bed & Breakfast. The cocktail hour and reception will be in the garden and lawn area of the Hemingway House. If you would like to visit the Hemingway Home museum, you will need to buy a ticket and go during opening hours. Our venue for the welcome dinner is also outside but there is an indoor lobby area if you need an AC break. All locations have lots of shade!
There is no parking at Old Town Manor and at most hotels in Key West. There are a few paid parking garages and some paid street parking. Once in Key West, you do not need a car. Most places are walking distance and there are plenty of Ubers and Lyfts!
Our venue has a guest limit so it depends and we might not have an answer until the last minute, but if you have someone you'd like to bring that we do not know or who's name is not included on the invite then just ask us!
Look at the Travel page for more info. You can text Courtney for advice if you have not been to Key West before.
When you RSVP you can let us know about anything you can't eat and we'll make sure the chef prepares something especially for you.
Key West can seem a little touristy on the surface, but once you find the right spots, you'll see it's a laid-back, chill, tropical paradise with small-town local charm. And there are roosters everywhere. And 6 toed cats.
This will not be a traditional wedding. It will be relaxed and low-key. Don't expect the usual dances or other wedding traditions. Do expect music, drinks, and lots of delicious Key West style food!
You will be missed but we understand that it is kind of a destination wedding and not easy for everyone to get to.
