Reg was friends with Courtney's brother in high-school, and found his way to their basement one evening after a party only to stumble upon Courtney. The following weeks led to text messages and sneaky late night hangouts. It quickly turned into a known thing. After high-school Reg had the opportunity to expand his knowledge at Ridgetown College, so Courtney and Reg ultimately decided to take a break. Fast forward, Reg and Courtney ran into each-other the odd time and stayed connected but it wasn't the right time. Summer 2019 came around and they decided to give it a whirl again, the last few years were filled with moving, home renovations, farm chores, lots of Mc Donald's, watching sunsets, tendering to their high maintenance dog, growing sunflowers, a few too many chickens, and finally an engagement!

All summer the Reid's battled with the damage left behind from the May 24 wind storm. Pasture fences were broken and trees were down, so the cows had to stay in the barn while they tried to clean up the mess. Truth be told, Courtney's favorite thing to do on the farm, is to let the cows out for the first time in the spring, so she missed out on that... but on a rainy, windy September morning Reg decided it was time to let the cows out on pasture for the first time that 'summer'. Little did Courtney know, this time would be her favourite let out yet! They went to check the fence before the cows were let out, but to Courtney's surprise the cows were not far behind them, jumping, running around them, she turns around only to find Reg down on one knee with her dream ring. They sealed it with a kiss, in the middle of the pasture field, surrounded by the happiest cows, and a rainbow to top it all off!
