Nick and I started out as friends but quickly realized it was more. One day, I finally got the courage to ask if we were basically just “friendzoned” to which, Nick replied, “I have enough friends.” From that point on we were pretty inseparable. We laugh more together than we have in our whole lives. Our relationship is fun, loving and most of all, mutually respectful. Nick is the best stepfather and we look forward to blending into a family of 5!

Nick proposed at the Winterset Cidery in the apple orchard. He gave the kids ring pops and had a beautiful engagement ring designed just for me. We were all very excited! With this being our second time around, we weren’t sure if we ever wanted to remarry. It became very evident early in our relationship that we had something incredibly special and that our views on marriage were slowly changing the more we fell in love.
