On February 17, 2020, Courtney was about to give up on the online dating world once and for all. If it weren't for her mom she would have deleted all of her accounts that day, but her mom told her to give it one more shot. Little did Courtney know that she would end up marrying the man she matched with that very same day. Michael started up a conversation, and it all came so easily to them. It soon became apparent that they were both cut from the same cloth. The next day, on February 18, 2020, they planned to meet in Wayne, NJ - the mid-point between their New York and New Jersey homes. After hours of talking over their lunch, Mike paid the check and they started to walk around the mall. All Courtney could think about is how she didn't want to leave Mike yet. Luckily, Mike was thinking the same thing and purchased two tickets to see "1917" at the AMC next door. After the movie, Michael walked Courtney to her car and was about to leave when she asked, "Are you going to kiss me or not?" He kissed her right there in the parking lot. For one month, they saw each other three to four times a week, going on dates, walks, and adventures. That is until COVID-19 shut down the world. On March 21, 2020, they saw each other for the last time before the world went into quarantine, and fear spread throughout the world. Through riots, Covid, and shut-downs they persisted through it all, only sending Xxoo and OOXX to each other through text & sending love letters through the mail. Finally, they risked seeing each other on April 18, 2020, for the first time since the pandemic started. On that day, Michael told Courtney that he loved her for the first time. From that moment on, they were inseparable. Adventures, dates, and lots of fun later, Michael asked Courtney to meet him for brunch with his aunt & uncle in Tarrytown, NY on April 10, 2022. What Courtney didn't know was that since February, Michael was strategically planning to propose to her. As they walked along the Hudson River, they stopped at a beautiful gazebo that overlooked the Tappan Zee Bridge. It was there that Michael grabbed Courtney's hands and expressed his love for her, getting down on one knee and asking her for her hand in marriage.
