If you had asked either of us before late 2020 if we saw ourselves in a relationship, our answer would’ve been a confident absolutely not. But God clearly had other plans. Our moms have been friends since before we were even born, and for years they kept saying, “Just go on one date!” We both laughed it off—until one random day, he decided to slide into my DMs. That one message changed everything. We finally went on that long-awaited first date in October 2020, and we’ve been locked in ever since. What started as a friendship built on years of family connection turned into a love deeper than either of us imagined.
