Can I bring a plus one, a date, or my kids to the ceremony and/or reception ?

Answer

Our wedding is intended for our adult friends & family by invitation only. Additional guests are unlikely to be accommodated. If you have specific questions, please reach out to us directly.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

As soon as possible. July 31st at the latest. We got plans to solidify. (Please reach out if you have concerns about not meeting the RSVP deadline)

When should I arrive in town for the festivities?

Answer

We expect most guests to arrive between November 28th (Friday) and November 29th (Saturday). If you have plans of being in town before then/on Thanksgiving, please be sure to let us know by answering the question/prompt when you RSVP.

What's the best airport to use?

Answer

Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT).

Question

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

Yes indeed. Hotel information can be found on the Travel page. There are also Air BnB recommendations for those who prefer that option.

What should I do if I don't make it into one of the hotel room blocks?

Answer

To be sure you are able to take advantage of the locked in rate for the hotels, reservations should be made by October 24th. If you miss the deadline to reserve a room in one of our blocks, reach out to the hotel you’re interested in and mention our wedding anyway—they may be able to accommodate you.

Are there any other events happening surrounding your wedding?

Answer

Yes! Any events taking place during the wedding weekend are posted on the Schedule page. Please be sure to RSVP to all events, so that we have an accurate count.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony or welcome celebration?

Answer

Nah. Get you a little ride share, phone a friend, drive your vehicle, or carpool it up. If you are flying in, you may want to get a rental.

Where should I park for the Welcome Celebration?

Answer

Optimist Hall has surface lot parking available for free for up to an hour and a half. After the first hour and a half, parking is just $6.99 for up to 3 hrs and $18 after 3hrs. Upon arrival, register your vehicle with by scanning the QR Code displayed throughout the parking lots. Carpool if you can. If you're taking the light rail, Optimist Hall is located just a block away from the Parkwood Station. Is there a dress code for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Come correct. Looking good and smelling good. Be yourself. In my best Edna Mode: “No sweats!”

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Guests should start arriving at 2:30PM. Our ceremony is scheduled to begin promptly at 3PM. Please be respectful of the start time. Plan well and be on time, so that we can begin at 3PM and have no interruptions.

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking at the venue where the ceremony and reception will be held.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be outdoors in the Bamboo Forest and the cocktail hour will be outside in the patio area, the reception will take place indoors. Guests will walk to the Bamboo Forest on paved pathways, but will need to step on grass and gravel briefly before getting to the pathways. For that reason, stiletto or otherwise-thin heels are not recommended.
