Roll Initiative is a term in Dungeons and Dragons that indicates the start of sequenced actions requiring players take turns. It's most commonly used when players take on a challenge involving combat! Since our wedding will be heavily inspired by our love for D&D we wanted to incorporate the phrase that all players both love and fear.
Thanks to a marathon watching of Stranger Things, Kyle's interest in Dungeons and Dragons (DND) re-emerged into a full fledged passion, because nothing is done casually in this family. Diving head-first into books and the mechanics of the game, Kyle eventually joined an adventuring party hosted by family. After a few months of exciting game-play and adventuring Kyle talked Courtney into joining the group every Saturday. Together the game has led to exciting adventures (and short term grudges), and ultimately brought us closer together. Who doesn't want to beat up or steal things from their spouse in a healthy way now and again?
Please drop your RSVP card in the mail no later that August 13th so it gets to us in time. Or you can RSVP here on the website under the RSVP tab above, or you can also e-mail us at Totty.Courtney@gmail.com by August 13th!
Yep! If we don't have some type of reply by August 13th we'll be forced to track you down. Please don't make us do that in the last stretch of wedding planning.
We understand that life happens and we all get hit with the stick some days. If something comes up, please don't hesitate to call, text, e-mail, or carrier pigeon us a message to let us know.
If your invitation lists 'and Guest' please feel free to bring anyone you'd like above the age of 18! Otherwise, we ask only those directly listed on the invitation attend the event.
We love ALL of your children, however, due to the nature of our event unless your kiddo is specifically addressed on the invite we ask that they be left home. We understand if you're unable to come due to this, and we'll miss you dearly at our wedding!
We're working with our blocked hotel to offer a shuttle from Tanganyika to the hotel and back, check back with us for what times the shuttle will run.
We ask that no photos be taken during the ceremony. We have hired a wonderful photographer named Darrin to capture our wedding, and we've put a lot of thought into the program itself. Please take the 20 minutes to be with us fully in the moment, and keep all phones/cameras put away. After the ceremony is complete feel free to take photos and share them wherever you'd like!
No. Tanganyika closes at 4p, and the rest of the Park is not lit at night. Most animals are in their indoor enclosures, so there's nothing to see anyways.
Yes! Even though the zoo itself will be closed, we'll have a few special animal visitors coming to the party. Which one's exactly are a surprise though! ;)
