Although, Kyler will tell you that we met in the gun department at Scheel’s, our story is a little less cheesy! Instead of having “pulling a trigger” on his mind, Kyler had “swiping right” on his mind. Thats right, we met on Bumble. We are both so grateful for swiping right because we met our solemate when we never thought we would.
On our first date we went to dinner at Engrained. Of course, Kyler says I talked A LOT but anyone who truly knows me knows that cannot be true 😉
When Kyler decided to ask me to marry him, he included my three favorite kiddos who mean the world to me. On this day, Kyler got down on one knee while my nephews and niece had shirts that said “Aunt Coco will you marry Ky?” The day of the proposal was a surpise (so much so I didnt have make up on and was wearing a hoodie). Suprise or not, our proposal was better than one out of a movie. My heart was so full!
Due to COVID-19 we have decided to move our reception date to July 11th, 2020. We will still get married on May 30th, 2020 with a private ceremony surrounded (6ft apart) by immediate family and bridal party. Be ready to party on July 11th because we cannot wait to celebrate our new journey, as a married couple, with all of the people who mean so much to us! At this time, guests can still book rooms at the Holiday Inn Express in Tuscola; however, we are hopeful that the hotel being built in Paris, IL will be done by our new reception date (we will keep you all updated). Please still use the same RSVP (writing July 11th) cards so that we can plan accordingly. If you have already mailed your RSVP- our mamas will be reaching out to inquire about your attendance with the new date! With love, future Mr. & Mrs. Phillips. P.S. COVID you suck!
