Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Women should wear a nice cocktail dress, day dress, or dressy separates/pantsuit. Men can wear a business suit or a dress shirt and slacks.

Where should I park and is it free?

Answer

There is lots of parking available in the Rideau Centre garage. Parking is accessible from Daly Avenue and Nicholas Street. You can access the Westin from the Rideau Centre and the from the garage. Daily rate is 20$/day and 30$ for overnight parking.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Unfortunately with the change of venue we do not have the option to have our ceremony outside. The ceremony will be held in an air conditioned room.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the lobby where we will be hosting a cocktail hour before we start the reception.

Question

If we are staying at the Westin hotel, what time is check in and will we have time to bring our things to our room before the ceremony?

Answer

Check in is at 3:00pm. The hotel cannot guarantee early check in but is an option if the room is available. Guest will need to be in the GG ballroom by 3:30 for the ceremony so plan accordingly. The reception can hold your luggage until after the ceremony. *Please contact Courtney for other options*

Will the meal options be the same?

Answer

We are pleased to say that we will be offering a very similar menu. We have notified the Westin caterers of all dietary restrictions that were provided on our RSVP. Unfortunately it is too late to make any modifications to your previously selected meal choice. *Please contact Courtney if you have any questions/concerns

If we had a room booked at the Hilton will it be automatically canceled?

Answer

No, you will need to call and cancel. No charges or fees will apply.
