The ceremony starts at 4pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow time to park, use the restroom and get seated for the ceremony.
Casual dress code. Please keep in mind our wedding is at a Ranch. We want you to be comfortable and to have fun. Sensible shoes encouraged, for the grounds do include dirt and grassy areas. Cowboy and cowgirl boots are welcome! If you are familiar with Colorado, you know that the weather can change quickly. It most likely will be warm during the daytime in September and cooler in the evening hours. Just in case, you may want to bring a jacket. Our ceremony is outdoors and our reception is indoors.

Yes, please see the travel section on this website. Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch and La Quinta Inn. There are also many options for nearby places in Loveland, Fort Collins and Estes Park. If you would like a bit of history I recommend staying at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park. There are many options for VRBO and B&B in a google search.

Yes, parking is available in the upper lot (hilltop parking) near our ceremony site (The Heartsong) at Sylvan Dale Guest ranch. There will be signs onsite directing to the parking lot site. The ceremony site is a short walk from the parking lot. The reception site is onsite at the ranch, called the Heritage. From the parking lot/ceremony site, it is a short walk to the reception. There will be guest carting services as well as rides given to those unable to walk to the reception or ceremony sites.
Please utilize Uber, Lyft, taxi services to and from the wedding to your hotel. We don't want anyone to drink and drive. So please let us know if we can be of assistance to you to make sure you get to and from our wedding.
Currently we have a rehearsal set up on 9/7/19 at Sylvan Dale Ranch from 9:15am-10:30am at the Heart Song Ceremony site for the wedding party to attend. We are planning on having those who wish to join us at a restaurant in downtown Loveland following the rehearsal. To be determined. Also for those of you who will be staying at the ranch on Sunday night after our wedding, there will be a homemade complimentary breakfast served by Sylvan Dale the following morning.
We want everyone to have a fun and relaxing time while visiting Loveland Colorado. And we want our guests to be comfortable!!! The weather here can change quickly, please bring items to keep you comfortable. Bring a jacket/ and or wear layers! We recommend having a hat and/or sunglasses! In the fall, it can be warm during the day and chilly in the evening. For those of you visiting and those that may not be used to higher altitude, we want you to know the following. Drink plenty of water, probably double than what you are used too. monitor your alcohol intake, yes we want you to have fun, but be aware its effects are more intense here. Eat foods rich in electrolytes and balance salt intake. Watch your physical activity, the effects of exercise are more intense. Pack for the Sun! Sunglasses, lip balm, sunblock, clothing and hat protection strongly advised. And most of all...Have FUN!!!
For those of you new to Colorado or to the wildlife/Mountain terrain to explore. Please keep in mind, there are many different types of wildlife to be aware of. Especially when visiting RMNP, local hiking trails near Loveland/FT. Collins ect. Yes Colorado has some of the most beautiful places to adventure and explore! Please Be aware of your surroundings! You may come across wild animals! Native to this area are deer, elk, bears, mountain lions, bobcat, moose, bighorn sheep, coyote and fox, marmot, rattlesnakes. When out hiking, wear appropriate clothing and have appropriate gear with you.
PLEASE NOTE: GPS/ mapping sites can lead you astray if you use our mailing address to navigate to Sylvan Dale. Please visit www.sylvandale.com Sylvan Dale is between mile markers 84 and 83 on US 34. As you near the Ranch from the east (Loveland) watch for the covered wagons on the right (north) side of the road. The wagons will signal you are near the Ranch Entrance. Turn right (north) through Ranch Entry and down the hill past the Sylvan Dale Horsebarn and across the Big Thompson River. You can turn right at the old silo towards the Heritage/ the Office. Or go straight past the silo to the Hilltop parking. If you miss the first entrance, just turn right before the Dam Store, on County Road 22H. Signs will lead you past the Sylvan Dale Horse Barn on County Road 31D and north across the beautiful Big Thompson River. If you are coming from the west, the entrance is east of the Dam Store, left on County Road 22H. Take a second left at the Sylvan Dale Horse Barn and follow the signs.
