We met casually on Bumble in January 2017. On our second date, Courtney made JB an omelet for dinner, and it was love at first bite for him. A few months in, JB assured Courtney that her snoring was not only bearable but also cute, and that's when she knew he was the one. From there, our adventures together took off. We try new things constantly—whether it was "eggs-periments" in the kitchen, traveling to Paris, New Orleans, the beach, or escaping to tiny cabins in the woods. Moving in together in 2018 brought new joys like JB becoming a cat dad to Weasley. We’ve enjoyed concerts, explored new culinary creations, and supported each other to grow in our careers. We even survived the pandemic with the help of weekly takeout from Home Slice Pizza (our fave!). In 2020, we bought a home, in 2021 we started a dachshund family with Tamale and added Cannoli in 2023. When JB finished his Master’s degree, we felt it was time to take our next big leap. JB planned a beautiful surprise trip to Monterey Bay, California and proposed to Courtney on the beach the first night they arrived. It was windy, it was sunset, and it was incredibly sweet. Now, we're excited to take the next big step—getting married. We’re looking forward to a lifetime of peace, love, adventure, and creativity with each other.
