As most of you know, Courtney and Jamie first met when their daughters ended up on the same softball team. The attraction was immediate; the conversation was not. After a good few weeks of checking each other out behind the safety of their sunglasses, they finally spoke for the first time on picture day. Courtney complimented Eloise's braids and found her jaw on the ground when Eloise proudly declared her dad did her hair. It was not lost on Jamie that his skill with a three-strand braid scored him major points, so he quickly went to work mastering the bubble braid next. After that first conversation, they began chatting more and more every practice, with Jamie earning the codename "Softball Daddy" among Courtney's friends. A little over halfway through the season, Jamie made his big play (which he swears to this day wasn't one, but we all know the truth, Jamie). While Courtney ran between the softball and baseball fields to catch both kids' games, Jamie secretly kept an eye out. He seized his opportunity by taking a video of Izzy's at-bat that Courtney missed. The next morning, he got her number from the team app and sent her the video. They haven't gone a single day without speaking since and are now accepting title suggestions for their Hallmark movie pitch—pun intended.
