Midday on a brisk yet sunny October Saturday at Sleeping Bear Dunes, Jackson and Courtney hiked along the scenic lakeshore. They went through puddles, shrubs, and sand all just to find a lovely spot to sit and eat lunch. They came to a beautiful sandy perch on the side of the dune with a strong tree standing witness. Unbeknownst to Courtney was that this halfway point of what had become an Autumn tradition was actually going to be the most memorable of all their trips. As Courtney began to rummage through her pack for lunch, Jackson reached into his pocket to ready the ring. Courtney then turned around to Jackson on one knee proposing they go on a lifelong adventure together.

In tune with their lifestyle, Courtney and Jackson have elected to travel to the mountains of Colorado to self solemnize themselves in marriage. They will be spending a week at the awe inspiring Spillway Campground with their dog, Fennec. Starting their lifelong adventure, they plan to hike, explore, climb and share their most sacred vows in the presence of nature.
