Courtney & Igor were seemingly living completely separate lives in Fort Worth post college. Igor was pursuing his passion of teaching tennis full-time at McCleland, while Courtney was hustling away as a nurse at Lily B Clayton elementary. Little did they know, their live's were only 1 degree of separation away. Igor had been giving tennis lesson to a spunky little girl for a couple years at this point. He knew the family well & were friends with her parents. One afternoon, while at work, Courtney's co-worker came up to her and said, "ya know what? my daughter's tennis coach is your same age, I really think y'all should meet." The mutual friend arranged the meeting, and Courtney & Igor got to finally meet.. The friendship started instantly. Over the next couple years, Courtney & Igor attended countless free concerts together at Capital Bar, weekend brewery tours, not-so-friendly dart tournaments, & dozens of other activities across Fort Worth. Slowly, their friendship turned into love, and the two "officially" began dating in May 2013, although it felt like they had already been together forever. The past six years has been jammed packed with road trips, dog parks, concerts, once-in-a-lifetime vacations, camper vans, and building a life together. In July 2019, the two set off on an epic month long road trip across the USA; mission being to escape the brutal Texas summer and enjoy mountain views. On day 14 of that trip, the two were traveling up the Million Dollar Highway from Silverton to Ouray, Colorado. Waterfall after waterfall, scenic view after scenic view, Igor pulled over so the two could admire a breathtaking waterfall up close. Little did she know what he was hiding in his pocket.... There, completely alone, surrounded by nature & beauty, under that waterfall, Igor asked the question which would make Courtney ugly cry for the next hour haha. These 2 have always been destined to make a life together.
