Love That Echoes Forward
Courtney's great-grandparents, August & Mary Amato, were married on October 10,1926- exactly 100 years before our wedding day. Their marriage was the kind that shaped generations- full of respect, loyalty, & a tenderness that everyone around them could feel. They spent 67 years side by side, and when Mary passed, August followed her just 40 days later. Our family has always believed he died of a broken heart, a final testament to the depth of their love.
100 years later, on the very same day, we'll be saying our own vows. While we didn't plan this, it feels like a gentle blessing to begin our marriage on the anniversary of theirs- carrying forward the kind of partnership they showed us was possible.
