We met like many people do nowadays..online. After a few dates in 2018 we went our separate ways. Dylan wanted to catch up and finally on his birthday in 2019 we got breakfast and later that day met with some friends to go bowling and the rest is history.
With Dylan being a new member of the police force, and a baby, we don’t have as much free time as we used to. Dylan has taken me to Boston for my birthday almost every year since we met, so it was the perfect cover up. But this year he wouldn’t give me any details aside from the fact that we were going to Boston and I should have something nice to wear. In the Uber from the Seaport District, I had no clue where we were headed. We pulled up to the Prudential Center and Dylan said he saw that they had reopened the top floors for viewing and a restaurant since closing down Top of the Hub. We went to the closed in viewing floor first and after taking the loop went down a floor to the open deck. Dylan said he had seen online they had people to take pictures so we could find one to take a picture of us. After making a loop, and not seeing someone, we got in line for the bar. Dylan used the excuse of needing to go to the bathroom, and instead took the loop the opposite direction to find someone that worked for “The View” to take a picture. A few minutes later Dylan and the employee came up from behind me and Dylan said he found someone to take a picture. We stepped off to the side and took a couple of “posed” photos before he told me he loved me and got down on one knee to ask me to marry him. With tears, I said yes and the crowd by the bar cheered. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!
