FAQs

The Wedding Website of Courtney Hayhurst and Donnie Thompson
Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are not registering at an actual store. Donnie and I have lived together for a few years now, and really have all the household items we could possibly need. Instead, we are asking our guests, if you are feeling generous, to contribute to our "Honeymoon/Starting our life together" fund. We prefer our guests use the link here on the "Registry" tab on our website, but we will also have a place to contribute at the wedding as well if that is easier. We plan to use some of the money for our honeymoon to Denver, Colorado, and the rest will go into savings as we prepare to buy our first home together.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! There is a dress code for the ceremony. The dress code is "Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks." We are not super traditional or formal, so no need for ball gowns and tuxes. All we ask is that you leave the athletic clothes, t-shirts, and tennis shoes at home. We always like to say, when in doubt, dress up before you dress down!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by October 23rd to allow for an official head count of guests.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding will begin around 5:30 pm. Please try to arrive around 5:00 pm to find seating before the ceremony begins.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, kids are welcome. However, we would like to warn our guests that we will be having an open bar and we plan to dance the night away until rather late. We want all our guest to enjoy their nights and have some fun, so if you can get a babysitter that night, go for it!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

The dinner that is being provided will be buffet style, so hopefully there is choices for all dietary needs. If you have an unavoidable special request, please reach out to us at least two to three months before the wedding so we can make sure to communicate the information with out caterers.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be parking for the ceremony and reception. Both events take place at the same location, so there will be no need for driving after the ceremony is over. Cars will be parked a moderate distance away from the festivities, but there will be golf carts running back and forth all night to take everyone to and from their cars.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Unfortunately, there will not be transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony. Please plan accordingly for this to make sure everyone gets back to their destination after the wedding safely!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

This information will be located in the "Travel" tab of our website!
