This has been a family favorite bar and hangout for generations! Get the chicken drummy basket and a rootbeer float ;) . (They also have pull-tabs!) You can also walk out the back patio and walk down by the Misissippi River and look at the beautiful leaves. Less than 10 minutes from the venue.
Best pizza outside of Italy! And it is right across the street from the Sunshine Depot. We went here for a pizza date while we were visiting MN last summer. You won't be disappointed :) Less than 10 minutes from the venue.
Great little bar and grille 5 minutes away from the venue. They have pull-tabs, live music, a back patio where you can play volleyball, bean bags, broom ball or curling. They also have a golf simulator and a live lobster tank claw machine (If you catch a lobster, they will cook it for you!). They have meat raffles on Sundays.
Super cute little farm grocery and garden store! They usually have a fall festival set up for the whole month of October, which includes a corn maze (turns into a spooky at night), pumpkin bouncy castle, duck races, games, etc. There is a Coldstone Creamery around the corner. Makes for a nice afternoon with kids. Less than 10 minutes from the venue.
They don't call us the Minnesota Vikings for nothing! If you like beer, Aegir is the perfect Viking pub for you. There are lots of neat Nordic-inspired beers to sample and a cool gift shop. (A flight of beer is served in a mini Viking Ship!) Less than 15 minutes from the venue. *Please enjoy responsibly.*
Best British Pub...EVER! (About 45 min from the venue). For over thirty years Brit's Pub has been Minneapolis's own little corner of the UK. The pub is known for nights by the fireplaces in the winter and lawn bowling on the rooftop deck in the summer - with a whole lot in between including legendary TV football (soccer!) and rugby events.
This is the largest mall in the USA. They have a huge indoor amusement park, an aquarium with sharks and sea turtles in the basement, Lego Land, movie theaters, over 500 shops and 50 Restaurants! Definitely go to eat at Rainforest Cafe (get the Volcano) or Bubba Gump's Shrimp if you have kids!
We went hiking here last summer. It is gorgeous! There are several waterfall cascades and raspberry bushes that line the trail. Also a great opportunity to visit Duluth, MN and drive along the North Shore and see Lake Superior.
