We met at our local rodeo. It just started out as nothing, we both had friends in the same group. On New Year’s Eve Dakota sent me a text just out of the blue, asking how I was and if I would like to hangout. Well I’m weird about just hangout with anyone. Plus I didn’t really know him that well. I mean I thought he was the same age as me and turns out he is two years younger. After asking a ton of questions, I agree to hangout. I’ll never forget the first time we hung out, Dakota told me he loved me and asked me out. I didn’t know how to respond… He continue to tell me how he just knew that we were supposed to be together. Saying yes to him was one of the best thing that could ever happen to me. Here we are five years later, happy as we have ever been. He not only the most amazing man I know but a wonderful father to our baby boy. We couldn’t Be happier than we are right now❤️

I should have known something was up. Dakota was working Night Shift at the time. He comes home from working all night, it was a Wednesday I was off work. I just planned on laying around while he rested from working. He comes in and tells me he wants to go hiking. I’m not the biggest fan of it. So I told him the only way I would go if we brought our fur babies Remi and hazel and surprisingly he said yes (he never let’s the dogs go). After getting everything together we headed to pine mountain in Cartersville. We get about half way and we decided to take a water break. Dakota couldn’t wait to get to the top so he decided to ask me in the middle of the trail. After being completely shocked. I said yes. I was so excited, we ended up just hiking back down to tell our family and friends.
